Fence Staining

Protect and Beautify Your Yard's Fence with Professional Staining

Your yard's fence provides both security and privacy, and may also keep Rover from roaming the neighborhood. But having a quality fence installed is not inexpensive and you don't want it to rot. Moreover, the raw wood does not always match the look you are going for in the yard. The solution to these issues - protection of the fence and aesthetics - can be solved with good quality wood stain applied by professional painters.

CertaPro Painters has the experience you can rely upon to ensure your fence gets the right protection from the elements and dryrot, as well as guidance on choosing a stain color that adds beauty to your yard. Stains come in two main types - solid stain and semi-transparent. Solid stain are similar to a paint and create a barrier between the wood and the elements. Semi-transparent stains soak into the wood and allow the grain to show through. Both come in numerous colors you can choose from.

Below is an example of a newly constructed wooden privacy fence and the before-and-after pictures show the transformation stain can make.

Raw Wooden Fence, About to be Stained

Raw fence awaiting staining by CertaPro Painters of Mobile, AL

Our customer had this fence installed to provide privacy from his neighbors. The fence is high quality (notice the metal post caps), but without stain the fence may not last more than a few short years.

Fence Staining with Solid Wood Stain

Here we see the fence with Sherwin Williams' Woodscapes solid-body stain. It is a redwood color that will not fade over time and protects the fence from the elements. It is much less likely to suffer from wood rot or cracking from drying out.
